Ever since Joss Whedon’s space western was canceled back in 2003, its fans — at first, a relatively small contingent, but as time and DVD sales grew, so did the ranks swell — have wondered what could possibly rescue it from the tightly clenched jaws of death. And until now, nothing could….

No wonder it feels like a short day. I only worked 9 hours (not counting lunch, of course). Home again, home again, jiggety jig.

“Broken gets fixed. Shoddy lasts forever.”
One of the developers I work with said this after I complained about a lingering issue in one of our products. It rings true. When deadlines are tight, and there is more work to get done than there are developers or hours in the schedule, it’s not the squeaky wheel, but the jammed one that gets the grease. 1929 Depression vs 2008 Depression
(Via email)
Back in the1929 Financial Crash it was said that some Wall Street Stockbrokers and Bankers JUMPED from their office windows and committed suicide when confronted with the news of their firms and clients financial ruin. Many people were said to almost feel a little sorry for them.
In 2008 the attitude has changed somewhat:
is taking pictures of the snow. It’s not much but you could make a snowball or two out of what’s in the truck bed.
is wishing he could see a Texas vs. Alabama Sugar Bowl but knows that ain’t gonna happen.
Wishing teenagers would focus less on eros and more on philia. Of course, I might have more luck wishing for a world peace and a lunar condo

On Tuesday, Nov. 25, TxDOT will open the south bound Collector Distributor which will bring traffic from the IH 35 access road just north of Hester’s Crossing to the access road adjacent to Lowe’s Home Improvement Store in La Frontera. The new Collector Distributor will allow southbound IH 35 traffic to bypass the Hester’s Crossing intersection and exit directly to the access road.

Of course, it doesn’t work when IM converts your links over to ping.fm links. :(
Saturday at http://ping.fm/PD4rM with the girls was lots of fun. I think http://ping.fm/pMEUa was our favorite.
The ping.fm website is still hosed but updates are going through via IM.
